Piper Toth shares indie finds on her website, One Sydney Road. This post, on which I find a photo that can never be retaken (the churchyard in question has rebuilt their fence), Piper's modern taste in design shines through. I would not have expected New Year's Eve to be so elegantly captured in lime green, but JewelsOfSaraswati has done it. My favorite is the Champagne Love Pop-up Card by GalInBlack. Such a simple design, and yet a stunning presentation. Featured Artists: DPholkDesigns, ArtisanMaskers, naKiMuli, IHeartNorwegianWood, JewelsOfSaraswati, ToniAndTree, DaogreerEarthWorks, MaryWibis, Orglamix, HalterHotties, GalInBlack, and SerasiJewelry. Curator: JewelsOfSaraswati. So many delicious pieces here... I love the hat by MojoSpaStyle (and the well-posed photograph), but I think my favorite piece award here must go to the Raven Tie by ToyBreaker. The most intriguing part is the shadow in the photograph. The raven silhouette continues in the dark folds of the rest of the tie (this of course would not still be the case if one were wearing said tie, but I like the photograph nonetheless). Featured Artists: RCTees, BellissimaMinerals, LesperanceTile, SouthernSkirts, MojoSpaStyle, HilariaGalleries, ToyBreaker, WCMercantile, HondaMom, CricketsCreations, CalloohCallay, and ThroatKoatsBySVC. Curator: DaogreerEarthWorks. And in between the moon and you, angels get a better view of the crumbling difference between wrong and right... I liked this collection so much, I made it twice! The second time was really just so I could remember to get a screen shot of it. I have a hard time choosing my favorite piece, but I think it has to be the Man in the Moon Necklace by Monaco. I did not expect the hints of blue to have such an impact on the final collection. Featured Artists: Monaco, RockedJewelry, EarthenEmbers, BestArtStudios2, NatureOnPaper, ArtByMarinaPetro, EchoAndWild, GreenPixPhotography, IstanbulDesigns, ImmortalLongings, SproutOnline, and JessKayDesigns. Curator: DaogreerEarthWorks. Well, folks, here it is: an actual domain. I broke down and did it; I acquired DaogreerEarthWorks.com for my very own. If only the name weren't so difficult to say... Oh well. This is just one clear step toward becoming a legitimate business. I'm getting close to printing up my THIRD batch of business cards, so I'm excited to be able to add this URL to them (maybe it will be the only URL? I haven't decided yet...) and I'm about a week away from finally breaking even. I'll let you know how I know in another post. |
