It doesn't snow in Portland very often. A light dusting is a big deal.
So, when I saw that it was snowing this morning (ahem... afternoon), and actually sticking, I immediately set about to dress in my warmest clothes so I could go outside and take some pictures. As I was adding the finishing touches to my snow day ensemble, I caught a glimpse of bright yellow rays streaming through my bedroom curtains.
Drat. The sun was out. The snow started to melt immediately. I'm glad I was able to get out when I did, but I missed all the glorious fluffy falling flakes.
This is the 6th entry in my Lazy 365 series. The shot I saw from inside, before I got dressed, that I wanted to be sure to get, was the snowy dust on the giant rosemary bush outside my window. The premise for my Lazy 365 is that I must see a shot, then get out the camera and get that shot. I'm not allowed to already have the camera in my hand.
