Dolphin's Keep
High up on the cliffs at Julia Pfeiffer-Burns State Park, a serene little cove can be seen. McWay Falls plummets 80 feet (24.38m) from McWay Creek onto the beach (yes, that's the tiny little waterfall you see on the left - to give you a sense of scale).

Area Closed
This is the view of the Pacific Ocean from the cliffs at Julia Pfeiffer-Burns State Park. The area is not accessible, and must be appreciated from above, surrounded by the aroma of eucalyptus trees.

Still Light
Perched atop a cliff, gazing at the sunset. These deep purples were achieved by taking the photograph long after sunset with a lengthy exposure.

Set of Nine
Deception Pass State Park provides stunning views of one of the most picturesque corners of the world. Sunset looms over the pacific on a calm, cool day.

Peach Horizon
Deception Pass State Park provides stunning views of one of the most picturesque corners of the world. Windswept conifers atop rugged rocky islands are a staple in Pacific Northwest waters.

Washed Rumble
Deception Pass State Park provides stunning views of one of the most picturesque corners of the world. The gentle tides tumbling the smooth, round stones of the beach make an unexpectedly pleasant sound.

Legend
Somewhere down there, a tiny unicorn is prancing around in rainbow puddles. Do you see him?

Lessons by the Water
This cascading creek was once described to me as tasting like "not thirsty," which is how all water should taste.

Somber Waves of Green
A gull soars above the surf as waves crash on the rugged rocky shores of the Pacific Northwest at sunset.

Pensive Pacific
Sometimes you just want to look out at the sea, and nothing seems to be able to break your concentration.

Iced Coast
Every once in a while, conditions align and you'll find ice on the Oregon coast. This photograph was taken during such an occasion. The light glinting off the ice gives the sand a surreal quality.
