Claudia
Claudia's flamingotarian interests keep her always on the lookout for others to help. She is active in her local chapter of Wetlands Now, Wetlands Forever, and volunteers for Caro-Chicks, a program working toward providing adequate levels of beta carotene to young flamingos. Claudia can be unpredictable, but she says that's part of her charm.

Holly and Nancy
Holly and Nancy have been friends since they were nestlings; they even hatched in the same barn (but they take offense if you accuse them of having been born in a barn)! They are quite attached to the stretch of woods they call home, and are fierce protectors of both their territory and their collective brood of owlets. Often, one can hear their hoots of laughter permeating the old growth.

Josie
Josie knows her shoes don't really go with her pants, and it's remarkably hard to catch her dinner while wearing them, but she loves them anyway. Other than those silly heels, Josie is as practical and straightforward as they come, which can sometimes come off as tactless. Josie enjoys contemplating philosophy when no one is around.

Laverne
Laverne sees herself as a regular gull. She is easygoing and sociable, and loves to gossip. Her friends know that she puts the "gull" in gullible, but they try not to take advantage of it too much. Laverne looks forward to her church bake sale every year, where she can show off her famous cinnamon-oatmeal-currant cookies.

Steve
Steve is generous and enthusiastic about his chosen pursuits, but his ego can be an obstacle difficult for others to conquer. Steve's confident swagger comes off as patronizing when he's in regular shoes, but Steve just started learning to walk in heels. Perhaps grass wasn't the best choice on which to practice, but he'll get the hang of it eventually.
