Another pair of friends chose several that, though they look very different, they were all taken on the same day at the same spot (as long as the "spot" can have about a 300 foot radius). Their choices: Decade's Dawn, Somber Waves of Green, and Still Light.
Their list reminded me of this little gem, also taken from that same spot on that same day:
I love how the setting sun shines through the waves, making them look green, even when the rest of the ocean is decidedly blue. Although, judging by the colors in the other photographs taken that day, the colors were all over the map that evening.
This little gull was only in the splash zone occasionally, and otherwise had the rock to himself for some last-minute sunbathing.
